This search portal brings together Sámi heritage materials from memory organisations in Europe. Currently, these include:

The included materials consist mainly of various kinds of archival materials, such as written documents, audio recordings and historical photographs.
Please note that currently this service includes materials relating to museum objects only occasionally. The aim of the Digital Access to the Sámi Heritage Archives project was to map existing archival materials; surveys of museum objects have been done earlier.

This search portal allows exploration of the materials in the context of the Sápmi area.
While some materials may have explicit coordinates, the locations relating to most of the materials have been described textually and the geographical locations of these materials have been geocoded using OpenStreetMap data. These materials are shown on the map in purple.
Some materials do not have any location information attached to them. These materials are still shown on the map, but they are shown in grey on top of the providing institutions.
